What you should know before the shoot
Outfits don't have to be perfect, but they can do a lot for the look of the photos. In Mallorca we often work with sand, sea, rocks, pine trees and warm light. Clothing should support that mood, not fight against it.
The most important rule: you need to be able to move and feel like yourselves. A beautiful dress, a linen shirt or bare feet on the beach often looks better than something elegant that makes you stiff.
Colours that work well in Mallorca
White, cream, sand, beige, light blue, sage, olive and warm natural tones fit very well with the beach, sea and Mediterranean landscape. Black can work but tends to look harsher, especially in the midday sun.
For sunset, warm tones are especially beautiful. For sunrise, light and cool colours often look very fresh.
Outfits for families
Families should coordinate their colours, but not all look exactly the same. Two or three colour families is enough. One child can wear a pattern, but if everyone wears patterns the image becomes restless.
Handy extras: a spare shirt for small children and clothing that can handle sand, wind and movement.
Outfits for couples and proposals
For couples it looks lovely when one outfit has some movement — for example a dress or a loose shirt. For a marriage proposal, keep the outfit natural so the moment doesn't seem suspicious.
